The Rise of the Social Enterprise

Take a walk back in time with me for a second.

It’s 2016. And you’re in your first year of Graduate school. You’re currently learning more about societal and community development and the impact that the Communications industry has on it. You’re curious about business, the world and all of the problems that need solutions.

And then you hear it. A term that combines a for profit business model with a nonprofit heart.

A Social Enterprise.

Okay we’re back in 2024. If you haven’t noticed, the world is stocked with problems. Which means it needs solutions and organizations that prioritize internal and external positive societal impact through the delivery of those solutions.

Companies and individuals that are focused on profit just for the sake of profit, are fading because we need each other to push forward into the future. It’s all hands on deck in our world today. It’s the perfect time to ask yourself…are you all in or will you fold?
